What began as a small hobby has grown into a full-time business built on refining both craft and process. As demand increased, so did the need for consistency, performance, and scalability within my handmade ritual candles.

After partnering with a start-up subscription box company, demand quickly expanded beyond what I could produce using reclaimed materials alone. This shift led me to begin working with eco-friendly raw ingredients, while maintaining the same focus on intentional, small-batch production.

As Modern Magix continued to grow, I refined both my process and my craft—upgrading equipment, testing materials, and improving consistency through methods such as wick testing and performance evaluation. My goal was to create handmade ritual candles that burn reliably, without sacrificing the intention and character that set them apart from mass-produced alternatives.

During this period, my co-founder stepped away from the business, and I continued to build Modern Magix independently.

Over time, I expanded my offerings to include a wider range of candle formats, as well as incense cones and other ritual tools. Opportunities through subscription boxes and wholesale partnerships allowed the business to grow while continuing to evolve. Each stage of growth required adapting my process without losing the intention that defines my work.
